The seasons of Provence…

In Provence there is not a single harvest but a multitude of seasonal specialties to enjoy.

Once the autumn harvests of figs, herbs and olives have been celebrated, the Christmas markets array their seasonal offerings: truffles, pain d’epices, santons, foie gras. The almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts of the winter months are followed by the blossoming of the fruit trees and the strawberries and asparagus of early spring. Cherries, apricots, and melons take us into an early summer scented with jasmine while blackberries and heritage tomatoes carry us through the end of summer when the scent of verveine transports us through the autumn to begin a new cycle.
